Nothing like your neighborhood corner store for a quick photo opp. I costumized this top online and ordered it a couple months back.  It’s served as great PJs so far.

Nicaragua

Another stop I made on the trip was to Leon, Nicaragua. Going to the roof of this church barefoot was the best 3 dollars I’ve ever spent. Amazing views of the city and a euphoric sense of freedom I’d never experienced before. I purchased this crochet top from a local shop in Jaco, Costa Rica and found the skirt in a lost and found bin of a hostel.

Guatemala

Out of the 6 Countries I was in these past 5 months, Guatemala was one of my favorites. This picture was taken in Antigua a little colonial town surrounded by volcanoes, with beautiful churches, and crepes stands at every corner. The town had a bit of a Eauropean feel but nothing like I’ve ever experienced before.

This picture was taken in Granada. Another pretty little city with a lot of character and very interesting water fountains everywhere we went.

I purchased this top in San Jose, Costa Rica from a little boutique. The owner buys vintage pieces and redesigns them into even more unique and modern ones. Boutique’s IG: @meextrana

I got to go to Vancouver and Whistler for the first time this past summer and I honestly fell in love with what I got to experience of the city. The best of mountain life, city life, and surfing all in close proximity in one beautiful province.

This picture was taken near Tacofino which was the best expensive taco I’ve had in a long time.

Flashback

20170127_132947

About the impulsive shopping I previously mentioned, these pants have only been worn once, can’t say if I’ll wear them again anytime soon….they’re just so hard to keep clean.
20170127_133058.jpg

Not too long after this I started my 5 month travels down south. I sold everything in my apartment and got rid of 5 sacks of clothing I didn’t use- which is huge for me. That being said, the impulse shopping is no more  and I no longer have an emotional attatchement to material things- except for these pants, I kept the pants.

TFW I get to show off my fallalery.

This is another throwback- to August of last year. I’ve only worn these earrings once- with this outfit…any more and I’d stretch my earlobes. What can I say I’m an impulse shopper. Happy costume jewellery is making a come back.

I can’t say I look this feminine these days but that’s ok. Currently trying to find a top to layer this with as its below zero here in Onterrible.

Throwback

20170126_115318

Here’s a little throwback from fall 2015.

I’m still not smiling in pictures so not much has changed.

Another name for my hometown is the Forest City, and it’s the most beautiful in the fall of course. There’s an old court house downtown covered in maple leafs so my best friend and I had to go and take advantage of the backdrop. Its no wonder locals use it as a wedding venue.

I’m not too sure if I’d wear this exact outfit again. I’m not too into the matchy-matchy trend anymore. However, the poncho is super versatile and I’ve worn the skirt several times.

Necklace/ Hat: Aldo

Pocho: The Bay

Skirt: Forever21

Told myself I would keep up with my posts after handing this in (blog was a school project) but I guess life gets in the way sometimes. Anyway, I’m back now and for a while I went a little crazy buying grey clothes. Almost any shade is versatile and easy to upkeep. Sweater, Cardigan, and Skirt are all from Forever, bra: Calvin Klein, Watch: Michael Kors, fake glasses from Aldo, and of course the classic white Converse.

I’m not one for wearing fake glasses, but these were on sale and I couldn’t resist buying them. They make me look real smart and it went with the half-up bun-do.

Sporty Spice

adidas3I recently found myself purchasing a lot more knee and thigh high socks than I need. In the past, the few that I’d buy I would never wear, but I decided to bring them out once again this fall and also add a few more to the collection. Working at Aldo I’m around a lot of pretty accessories and other items I don’t necessarily need. Long exposure to these items during my shifts convince me to buy them, but at least there’s the employee discount…

I used that discount on my shoes, socks, and necklace in these pictures.

Top is Adidas and skirt is a scuba material from Forever21.

Very studious looking I know. Didn’t even sign out a book

Pretty Pastels

DSC_1090I have a hard time saying goodbye to summer clothing, colors, weather, activities etc. so you’ll most likely see me rockin’ the bright and happy shades on my nails well into the winter months every year, mostly out of nostalgia. So when I saw Giambattista Valli’s breathtaking Fall collection for this year, I was inspired to incorporate similar colors and textures into my wardrobe. What better way to start than with accessories…

DSC_1172Yes, more layering. After all, it’s fall and I love playing with jewelery. Here I layered three similar necklaces to create the appearance of one chunky necklace, I believe accessories are an easy way to dress up a simple outfit. The shape of my knit sweater paired with my distressed denim felt too casual, so I also added my wool pastel colored hat because it was very sunny that day…and big hats are glamorous.
